Miami Gardens Shooting Leaves Two Injured, Suspect Remains at Large
Miami Gardens, Fla. – A late-night shooting near a Miami Gardens gas station left two men injured, prompting a heavy police response and an ongoing investigation into the gunman’s whereabouts.
Authorities confirmed that the shooting occurred at the Exxon gas station located at Northwest 167th Street and 27th Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing the victims run down the street after being shot, leaving behind a trail of blood near the gas station’s convenience store entrance.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Surveillance footage showed one of the victims bleeding profusely from his arm, with a Miami Gardens police officer applying a tourniquet to control the bleeding before paramedics arrived.
Victims Hospitalized, Conditions Unknown
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported one victim via airlift to a nearby hospital, while the second was taken by ambulance. As of now, authorities have not released the identities or current conditions of the victims.
The shooter reportedly fled the scene in an unknown direction, and no suspects have been named.
Community Concerns Grow Amid Rising Violence
Longtime residents say they are disturbed by the increasing violence in the area. Pastor Joseph Jackson, who has lived in the community for 24 years, expressed his concerns to Local 10’s Trent Kelly.
“Did it ever used to be this bad?” Kelly asked.
“No, no, no,” Jackson responded. “I’m here 24 years, and it’s always been good. You could spend all night outside and nobody would bother you.”
However, Jackson noted that police presence in the area has increased, signaling a shift in the neighborhood’s safety.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on the shooting to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
