A Shocking Attack Outside a South Memphis Store
Memphis police are searching for the gunman behind a brazen shooting that left a man critically injured earlier this month. Surveillance video obtained by FOX13 captured the violent attack outside a convenience store near South Parkway East and Mississippi Boulevard. The footage shows the victim standing outside the store when a man in a black hoodie approaches from behind and opens fire at point-blank range. The victim collapses, but moments later manages to stand and stumble away. The suspect then circles back, firing multiple rounds into the man before fleeing the scene on foot through the back of the gas station lot.
Victim Survives, But Remains Critical
Emergency responders rushed the victim to Regional One Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. As of Thursday, police confirmed that the man was still alive. Authorities have not yet released the names of either the victim or the suspected shooter.
