The renewed focus comes as Anna Paulina Luna, who chairs a House task force examining the declassification of federal secrets, continues pressing federal agencies for greater transparency regarding military encounters with unexplained aerial objects.

According to publicly available accounts, Bradenton Beach Police Officer Charles Morose observed what appeared to be a U.S. Coast Guard aircraft abruptly changing course over the Gulf before maneuvering toward a large, dark object reportedly hovering over the water. Witness accounts claim the aircraft appeared to follow the object before it accelerated rapidly and disappeared toward the horizon.
Subsequent inquiries reportedly found no publicly available Coast Guard incident report documenting the encounter. The absence of publicly released records has fueled continued discussion among UAP researchers, although no federal agency has publicly confirmed the nature of the reported object.
