This coming Sunday bring a day of the year we’ve been looking forward to all football season. Superbowl LIV will be taking place Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The 100th NFL season bring together two teams that have never before played in the post season. San Fran is looking to win their sixth Super Bowl ring and tie the league for the most. The Kansas City Chiefs on the other hand, are heading to the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years. You’re looking at one for the books this weekend and here’s why.
Kansas City Chiefs Reach the Super Bowl for the First Time in 50 Years
With Patrick Mahomes at the head of this Kansas City team, they finally made it to another Super Bowl. This is a whole new playing field for their team though. Not only are they stepping into the biggest Prime Time event of the year, but also facing a team they’ve never clashed against in the post season. They do, however, have one of the greatest receiving corps in the league. Tyreek Hill is faster than most, if not all, other NFL players. Travis Kelce has been a go-to target for Mahomes and you better believe he’ll be getting the ball. Don’t forget about Sammy Watkins as well! This shootout team will be facing one of, if not the best, defenses in the league this year.
San Francisco 49ers Defense Trying to Pulverize Patrick Mahomes
San Francisco has the Super Bowl trophy in there eyes right now and you better believe they are squeezing for that sixth ring to tie the league leaders. Jimmy Garoppolo has been heading this team since being taught under Tom Brady and traded from the New England Patriots. With him at the lead, their terrifying run game and possibly the best defense in the league, they hope to shut down this shootout team. If they can get to Mahomes, then they can get to the trophy!
