Pet Grooming Truck Fire
A mobile pet grooming vehicle was destroyed after catching fire while parked in Fort Lauderdale, according to officials. The fire broke out Monday, July 20, while the grooming truck was parked in the area of Northeast Sixth Street and Fourth Avenue. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene after the vehicle became engulfed in flames. The owner of the mobile grooming business reportedly stepped away from the truck to pick up a customer at a nearby location. When the groomer returned, the vehicle was already on fire. Firefighters quickly worked to contain the flames, but the damage to the specialized grooming truck was extensive. The vehicle, along with the equipment and supplies inside, was destroyed.
No Injuries Reported
Officials said no people or animals were injured in the fire. The truck’s equipment, including tools needed to operate the mobile grooming business, was lost in the blaze. A nearby Honda was also damaged by the heat from the flames, with parts of the vehicle reportedly melting during the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities have not announced whether the blaze was accidental or what may have triggered it. For the business owner, the loss of the grooming vehicle creates a major disruption, as mobile pet grooming operations rely on specialized trucks equipped with bathing stations, tools, and other equipment needed to serve customers.
