Shooting Ended With SUV Crashing Into a Yard
Police said officers responded shortly after 5:30 a.m. following reports of multiple gunshots near Southwest 27th Court and Sunshine Boulevard. Investigators believe a white sedan pulled alongside a lime green Lamborghini Urus carrying Johnson and two male occupants before someone inside the other vehicle opened fire.
The Lamborghini was struck numerous times by gunfire before continuing down the road and eventually crashing into the front yard of a nearby home.
All three occupants suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital. Johnson later died from her injuries. The two men survived the attack, with one reported to be in critical condition.
Investigators Believe the Attack Was Intentional
Detectives believe the Lamborghini was specifically targeted, though authorities have not publicly identified a motive. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, collecting evidence from the scene, and interviewing witnesses to determine what led to the shooting.
Police have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects. Authorities also have not released information about the relationship between Johnson and the two men who were inside the vehicle.
Officials said there is no indication that the shooting poses an ongoing threat to the surrounding community.
