The Lacerta Files: Did a Swedish Journalist Really Interview a Shapeshifting Reptilian Alien From an Ancient Underground Civilization?

The Lacerta Files: Did a Journalist Really Interview a Reptilian Alien? Inside the Underground Civilization Conspiracy and the UAP Mystery

A decades old story about a Swedish journalist who allegedly interviewed a shapeshifting reptilian being is gaining renewed attention as researchers, former intelligence officials and government investigators continue examining unidentified anomalous phenomena. But where does documented science end, and where do extraordinary claims begin?

For decades, one of the strangest stories circulating through UFO research communities has described a secret civilization of intelligent reptilian beings living beneath Earth’s surface, allegedly descended from dinosaurs that survived the mass extinction approximately 66 million years ago. According to the story, these creatures possess advanced mental abilities, can disguise themselves as humans and have quietly influenced human civilization for thousands of years.

The allegations originate from a collection of purported interviews known as the Lacerta Files, which claim to document conversations between a Swedish interviewer using the pseudonym Ole K. and a female reptilian entity calling herself Lacerta. The account has circulated online for years, attracting believers, skeptics and researchers interested in the relationship between UFO folklore, alleged extraterrestrial encounters and modern conspiracy theories.

The story resurfaced in a discussion featured on Shawn Ryan Clips, where participants examined the alleged interview alongside broader questions about unidentified anomalous phenomena, government disclosure, military technology and theories suggesting that some reported encounters might involve something more complicated than extraterrestrial spacecraft.

Although the Lacerta account makes extraordinary assertions about Earth’s history and humanity’s origins, no independently authenticated recording, biological evidence or verifiable documentation has established that the alleged encounter occurred. Its renewed circulation illustrates how speculative narratives can become intertwined with legitimate scientific questions and government investigations into unexplained observations.

The Lacerta Files: An Alleged Encounter With an Underground Reptilian Civilization

The central narrative describes a Swedish interviewer who allegedly met a female reptilian being at a secluded location during the late 1990s. The purported encounter was arranged through an intermediary, and the being reportedly agreed to discuss her species, humanity’s origins and the existence of intelligent civilizations hidden from the general public. According to the text, Lacerta claimed to belong to an ancient terrestrial species that evolved from reptilian ancestors long before modern human civilization emerged. Rather than arriving from another planet, these beings supposedly originated on Earth and survived catastrophic environmental changes by retreating into underground habitats.

The narrative connects their survival to the asteroid impact associated with the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs approximately 66 million years ago. Lacerta allegedly claimed that her ancestors developed underground civilizations and eventually acquired technologies and cognitive abilities far beyond those available to modern humans. The story goes considerably further, asserting that reptilian beings can influence human perception, disguise their appearance and interact with people without revealing their true biological nature. The interview also attributes extraordinary mental abilities to the alleged entity, including telekinesis and the manipulation of physical objects.

In the account discussed on Shawn Ryan Clips, Lacerta supposedly demonstrated these abilities by levitating a pen and rapidly cooling a hot beverage. However, there is no independently verified footage or experimental documentation of those demonstrations, and the claims have never been reproduced under controlled scientific conditions. The absence of verifiable evidence is the fundamental problem with the story. An anonymous interview, even one containing extensive technical or historical details, cannot establish the existence of an unknown intelligent species without independently testable supporting evidence.

Did Dinosaurs Survive Underground After the Asteroid Impact?

The Lacerta narrative draws on a genuine event in Earth’s geological history: the Chicxulub asteroid impact, which occurred approximately 66 million years ago near what is now Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. The impact contributed to a global environmental catastrophe associated with the Cretaceous Paleogene mass extinction, which eliminated non-avian dinosaurs and numerous other species. Scientific evidence also establishes that not every dinosaur lineage disappeared. Birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs and survived the extinction event, meaning dinosaurs remain represented among living animals today.

What science has not established is that a separate lineage of dinosaurs developed humanlike intelligence, created an advanced technological civilization and retreated underground. Such a scenario would require substantial biological, geological and archaeological evidence, including fossils, evolutionary intermediates, technological artifacts or detectable traces of large scale habitation.

Modern geology provides detailed information about Earth’s crust, tectonic structures, underground water systems and the physical limitations of deep subterranean environments. While caves and underground ecosystems contain remarkable forms of life, there is no credible scientific evidence supporting the existence of a hidden technologically advanced reptilian civilization. The distinction matters because the survival of some ancient evolutionary lineages is scientifically established, while the existence of an intelligent underground reptilian species remains unsupported speculation.

The Claim That Humans Are the Seventh Engineered Civilization

One of the more elaborate elements of the Lacerta narrative involves the assertion that humanity is not the first intelligent civilization to inhabit Earth. According to the alleged interview, modern humans represent the seventh iteration of a civilization deliberately engineered by extraterrestrial beings.

The story claims that earlier civilizations were created, modified or destroyed through interventions by advanced nonhuman intelligences. It further suggests that human evolution was manipulated through genetic engineering rather than proceeding entirely through natural evolutionary processes.

These assertions conflict with the established scientific understanding of human origins, which is supported by extensive fossil discoveries, comparative genetics, archaeological evidence and evolutionary biology. Modern humans emerged through a long evolutionary history involving multiple hominin species, with Homo sapiens appearing in Africa approximately 300,000 years ago.

While scientists continue investigating unresolved questions about human evolution, migration and interactions among ancient populations, there is no verified genetic or archaeological evidence demonstrating that extraterrestrial beings engineered humanity or repeatedly created earlier technological civilizations. The Lacerta account offers an elaborate alternative history, but the specificity of its claims should not be mistaken for evidence of their accuracy.

Government UAP Investigations Bring New Attention to Old Conspiracy Theories

The Lacerta story has attracted renewed interest within a broader cultural environment in which unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly called UAPs, have become subjects of congressional hearings, military investigations and scientific studies. Unlike the anonymous reptilian interview, some UAP incidents involve authentic military recordings, documented sensor observations and testimony from government personnel.

The Pentagon’s All domain Anomaly Resolution Office, known as AARO, has investigated reports involving unidentified objects observed by military personnel and surveillance systems. NASA has also examined how scientific methods and improved data collection could help researchers distinguish ordinary atmospheric events, aircraft, sensor errors and potentially unfamiliar phenomena.

However, official acknowledgment that some observations remain unidentified does not establish that those objects are extraterrestrial, interdimensional or connected to a hidden civilization. NASA’s 2023 independent study found no conclusive scientific evidence establishing an extraterrestrial origin for UAP, while a 2024 Pentagon historical review reported no verified evidence that the U.S. government possessed or reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology.

Those findings do not mean every reported incident has been explained. They establish a narrower conclusion: some observations remain unresolved because the available evidence is insufficient to determine what occurred.

Reptilian Files A Dark Interview Claim

Could UAP Disclosures Be Used to Distract the Public?

During the Shawn Ryan Clips discussion, participants also questioned whether government releases involving unexplained aerial activity could sometimes serve political or institutional interests. The conversation explored the possibility that UAP announcements might divert attention from controversial domestic developments, intelligence disclosures or geopolitical crises.

Another theory raised during the discussion concerned defense contractors and the financial incentives associated with advanced surveillance, aerospace technology and national security programs. Companies involved in military aviation and detection systems could benefit from government investment in improved airspace monitoring, regardless of whether unidentified objects ultimately prove extraordinary.

The underlying financial relationship is real: defense contractors receive government funding to develop radar, surveillance, aerospace and counter-drone technologies. However, there is no substantiated evidence in the material presented that companies such as Lockheed Martin or RTX, formerly Raytheon Technologies, orchestrated UAP publicity campaigns to manufacture public concern or obtain contracts.

The distinction between an institution benefiting from an event and deliberately creating that event is fundamental. Establishing an organized deception would require documentary evidence, credible firsthand testimony or independently verifiable records demonstrating coordination and intent.

The Problem With UFO Researchers Claiming Exclusive Knowledge

The discussion also examined internal conflicts within the UFO research community, where competing personalities sometimes claim access to classified information, confidential witnesses or extraordinary evidence that cannot be independently examined. One participant described this behavior as a form of “Prometheus syndrome,” referring to researchers who publicly demand government transparency while simultaneously presenting themselves as exclusive custodians of hidden knowledge. The term was used as commentary on the culture surrounding UFO investigations rather than as an established scientific or psychological diagnosis.

The criticism highlights a recurring problem in investigations involving extraordinary claims. Researchers may demand evidence from government institutions while declining to disclose the identities of their own sources, release original recordings or submit purported physical materials to independent laboratories.

Confidentiality can be legitimate when protecting whistleblowers or sensitive information. Nevertheless, the inability to examine underlying evidence limits what independent investigators can establish, regardless of a source’s reputation or claimed access. The Lacerta Files represent an especially stark example because the entire narrative depends on the credibility of an unidentified interviewer and an alleged nonhuman witness whose existence has never been independently demonstrated.

Interdimensional Beings, Higher Dimensions and the Limits of Physics

The conversation eventually shifted from traditional extraterrestrial spacecraft toward theories suggesting that some anomalous phenomena might involve additional spatial dimensions or physical processes not yet understood. Modern theoretical physics does contain serious mathematical frameworks involving extra dimensions. Kaluza-Klein theories, for example, explore the possibility that additional dimensions could help explain relationships among fundamental forces. Related concepts have appeared in string theory and other attempts to develop a more comprehensive description of the universe.

These ideas are legitimate subjects of theoretical research, but they do not demonstrate that intelligent beings can move between dimensions or that reported UAP possess such capabilities. The existence of additional spatial dimensions has not been experimentally established, and there is no verified evidence connecting these theoretical constructs to UFO sightings.

CERN and other research institutions investigate fundamental particles and the structure of matter using sophisticated experimental equipment. Although certain theoretical models predict effects associated with additional dimensions, particle physics experiments have not established the existence of portals, interdimensional visitors or mechanisms allowing intelligent organisms to travel between separate realities.

The scientific distinction is critical: a mathematical framework describing a physically possible phenomenon is not equivalent to experimental confirmation that the phenomenon exists.

Jacques Vallée and the Theory That UFOs May Be Something Other Than Spacecraft

The discussion also referenced the work of Jacques Vallée, whose writings challenged the assumption that every unusual aerial encounter should be interpreted as a spacecraft arriving from another planet. Beginning in the 1960s and continuing through later decades, Vallée examined similarities between modern UFO reports and historical accounts involving supernatural beings, religious visions and unexplained encounters. His work proposed that some experiences might belong to a broader category of phenomena that humans interpret differently depending on their cultural and historical circumstances.

Vallée’s theories remain speculative, but they have influenced discussions about whether the UFO phenomenon should be examined exclusively through aerospace technology or through a combination of psychology, anthropology, folklore and physical investigation. This approach does not establish that supernatural or interdimensional entities exist. Rather, it raises questions about how human perception, cultural expectations and unusual experiences interact to produce reports that may share similar characteristics across different historical periods.

Chris Bledsoe, Mysterious Orbs and Claims of Government Interest

Another subject raised in the conversation was Chris Bledsoe, who has publicly described encounters with luminous objects and other unusual phenomena.

Bledsoe has claimed that his experiences attracted interest from individuals associated with government agencies and scientific institutions, including people with connections to NASA and the intelligence community. His accounts have become prominent within certain UFO research circles, particularly among investigators interested in the possibility that unusual aerial phenomena may overlap with spiritual or consciousness related experiences.

However, claims of interest from government-connected individuals should not be confused with official scientific validation. An investigator’s willingness to examine a reported experience does not establish that the experience involved nonhuman intelligence, and the existence of unexplained lights or orbs does not independently demonstrate extraterrestrial or supernatural activity.

Determining the origin of such observations requires reliable recordings, calibrated sensor data, environmental measurements and independently reproducible findings. Without that evidence, even compelling personal accounts remain difficult to evaluate scientifically.

What the Lacerta Files Actually Prove

More than two decades after the purported interviews, the central claims contained in the Lacerta Files remain unsupported by independently verifiable evidence. The transcripts describe an elaborate alternative history of Earth involving ancient reptilian civilizations, extraterrestrial genetic engineering, concealed technological societies and extraordinary mental abilities, but no authenticated physical evidence has established that the alleged witness existed.

The original texts themselves acknowledge the lack of publicly available proof. The purported interviewer claimed that recordings were made, yet no authenticated original audio with a documented chain of custody has been produced for independent examination. That evidentiary gap is especially significant because the narrative depends almost entirely on a private encounter that cannot be corroborated.

The broader UAP debate presents a different situation. Governments have acknowledged genuine unidentified observations, released military recordings and conducted investigations into reports that sometimes remain unresolved. Those developments justify scientific examination and public accountability, but they do not validate unrelated claims about reptilian beings, hidden civilizations or extraterrestrial manipulation of human evolution.

The enduring fascination with the Lacerta Files reflects humanity’s interest in unexplored history, intelligent life and the possibility that our understanding of the universe remains incomplete. Scientific discoveries may eventually transform current assumptions about life beyond Earth, consciousness or the fundamental structure of reality. Until evidence emerges, however, the alleged reptilian interview remains an extraordinary story rather than an established historical event.

The most important question is not whether such a narrative is sufficiently strange to be dismissed or sufficiently detailed to be believed. It is whether its claims can be independently tested, corroborated and distinguished from fiction. For the Lacerta Files, that standard has not been met.
