Johannah Duggar Gets Married

Johannah Duggar is officially married. The 20 year old former 19 Kids and Counting star has married David Swanson, 23, following a private courtship. According to marriage records, Johannah and David were married on September 10, 2026, in Arkansas. The ceremony was officiated by Noel Cwenar, a minister with Gospel Light Baptist Church.

A Private Wedding

The couple kept much of their relationship out of the public eye. Johannah filed for a marriage license in Arkansas on September 2, giving the couple 60 days to legally marry. The wedding came earlier than the date previously listed on the couple’s wedding website. The website had reportedly listed October 10 as their planned wedding date, with a reception also expected to take place around that time. The couple has not publicly shared many details about their wedding, and official photos from the ceremony have not been widely released.

A Family Connection

David Swanson was already connected to the Duggar family before marrying Johannah. He is the younger brother of Lauren Swanson, who married Johannah’s older brother, Josiah Duggar, in 2018.

The marriage therefore creates another connection between the two families, who have known each other for years. David’s family previously appeared alongside the Duggars during the family’s reality television years. Lauren also became part of the Duggar family after her marriage to Josiah.

Johannah is the 16th child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children. Her childhood was documented on 19 Kids and Counting, which followed the large Arkansas family on television for years.
