‘Dancing With the Stars’ Sends Home First Couple of Season 35

DWTS Sends Home First Couple

“Dancing With the Stars” has officially eliminated its first couple of Season 35, with Conner Leavitt and his professional dance partner Adele Zaikman leaving the competition after the first night of the season.

Conner Leavitt Eliminated

Leavitt, who is known for his appearance on Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” took the ballroom floor with Zaikman during the season premiere. The pair performed a salsa to “Whoomp! (There It Is)” by Tag Team as they competed for a spot in the next round. Their performance earned 12 points from the judges. While the score was not the lowest of the night, the combination of judges’ scores and viewer votes ultimately put Leavitt and Zaikman in danger of elimination.

First Elimination Of The Season

The elimination marks the first departure from the Season 35 cast. Leavitt and Zaikman were among the first couples to compete as the new season got underway, with the remaining contestants now continuing their fight for the Mirrorball Trophy. The first night also featured performances from several other celebrity and professional pairs, giving viewers their first look at the competition and the early leaderboard.

Voting Issues During Premiere

The premiere was also affected by technical problems with the show’s online voting system. Online voting became unavailable during the broadcast, forcing viewers to use text voting instead. The voting issue added another unusual element to the first elimination of the season, as viewers were deciding which couples they wanted to keep in the competition.

Competition Continues

With Leavitt and Zaikman eliminated, the remaining couples will continue competing throughout the season. Each week, their scores from the judges and votes from viewers will determine which couples move forward and which ones are sent home. The Season 35 competition is now officially underway, with the remaining celebrities hoping to build on their first performances and make it all the way to the finale.
