Have you ever watched footage of people getting sobriety checked after being pulled over? They are usually pretty funny. Whether they stumble and bumble around, or make up a million excuses, or cry, it can actually be pretty entertaining. When it is a celebrity, you can double the entertainment factor. This brings us to Justin Timberlake and his DWI pullover.
Nearly two years after Timberlake was arrested for DWI in the Hamptons, authorities have reached an agreement with the famed singer to release redacted portions of officers’ bodycam footage from that night. The video shows Timberlake performing sobriety tests, at one point telling officers his heart was “racing.” Timberlake was arrested for DWI in June 2024 but later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of “driving while ability impaired.”
He was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and cited for two traffic violations: failure to stop a stop sign and failure to keep right.
Almost two years later, this gets released, and that seems odd to me. Did they have to get this out to the public that badly? Unfortunately for JT, it was released despite his legal attempts to block it from the public.
The bodycam video from the incident shows the former NSYNC “bad boy” being pulled over in his gray 2025 BMW and then going through the standard field sobriety test.
He seemed to be confused by the instructions as he told the officers, “These are, like, hard tests.” At one point in the clip, Timberlake stumbled while attempting to walk in a straight line for officers.
Timberlake, 45, then stumbled a couple of times while attempting to walk a straight line at the cops’ request. Eventually, the pressure of the situation appeared to get to him as he said, “My heart’s racing.”
Ultimately, Justin declined to take a breathalyzer test. The cops took Timberlake away in handcuffs after he refused to take a breathalyzer test. After police put him in handcuffs and put him in the back of the squad car, his female friend arrived on the scene. In a bizarre attempt of desperation, his friend stated,
“You’re arresting Justin Timberlake right now?” she asked before attempting to intervene. She later pleaded, “Can you guys please just do me a favor ’cause you loved ‘Bye Bye Bye’ or ‘Sexyback?’ Do me one favor!”
And it seemingly worked, as officers allowed her to speak to Timberlake for a quick minute before he was taken to jail.
“The cop didn’t know who he was at first,” a source told us. “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”
Not that it is that important, but how the f*ck does this cop not know who Justin Timberlake is? Unless you are 70+ or from Slovakia, that just makes no sense. Like him or not, he is a pretty big star in the entertainment world. I mean, who hasn’t seen “Dick in a Box”?
Either way, what’s done is done. The footage is released. And honestly, it really is kinda tame and uneventful. There are way more embarrassing videos and situations that are out there harming reputations. Justin may catch a little sh*t for this, but there is no whirlwind here. He’s gonna be fine.
