Miami Police Capture Suspects in Dramatic Pursuit Ending in Rollover Crash
MIAMI – A high-speed pursuit in Miami concluded in a dramatic rollover crash, leading to the arrest of a man and a woman wanted in connection with a shooting in Palm Beach County. The incident unfolded Wednesday afternoon on Biscayne Boulevard at the intersection of 82nd Street.
Pursuit and Capture
The pursuit began when Miami-Dade Police officers identified and followed a vehicle suspected to be involved in the Palm Beach County shooting. As the chase progressed, three Miami Police Tactical Robbery Units joined the pursuit.
“We tried the maneuver again and crashed against one of our vehicles, causing a chain reaction where three total of five vehicles were involved,” said Miami Police Spokesperson Micheal Vega.

The pursuit took a dangerous turn when one of the Tactical Robbery Units collided with the suspect’s vehicle. The impact caused a chain reaction, involving a total of five vehicles. A black vehicle belonging to a Miami Police officer was flipped on its side during the crash.
Cellphone footage captured by a bystander shows officers arresting one of the suspects shortly after the crash. The dramatic video highlights the chaotic scene as police moved in to apprehend the individuals.
Eyewitness Accounts
Witnesses described the moment of the crash as a “big boom.” Ansschabia, a nearby business owner, recounted his experience: “I was standing by the window talking to one of my customers. We hear like a big crash. Next thing, we turn our face, we see a car that flipped, take off in the middle of the street, cops surround the car.”
When asked about his immediate reaction, Ansschabia said he “ran to the back,” seeking safety amid the unfolding chaos.
Police and Emergency Response
Miami Fire Rescue responded to the scene but did not transport any of the officers, as no one was seriously injured in the crash. The suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
Traffic Diversions
Due to the crash, westbound traffic on 82nd Street is being diverted to Northeast 10th Avenue. Authorities are working to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
