The 2024 AFC Wild Card game between the Cleveland Browns and the Houston Texans was nothing short of a dominate display of defense by the Texans with a final score of 45-14, showcasing the intensity and excitement that playoff football brings. Receiver Nico Collins had 6 cathes for 96-yards and one touchdown, with the defense lead by Desmond King 12 tackles, Blake Cashman 10 tackles, and Christian Harris had 8 tackles 2 tackles for a loss, one sack, and a interception for a touchdown.

The game kicked off with high energy as both teams aimed to establish dominance early on. Both teams trading punts early on, with Texans finally going 7plays, 43-yards setting up kicker K.Fairbairn 21-yard field goal. The Cleveland Browns, led by their vetran quarterback Joe Flacco, showed offensive prowess with a well-executed scoring drive. The Browns wemt 6 plays, 75-yards with Kareem Hunt running up the middle for 1-yard touchdown. However, the Houston Texans, known for their resilient play, quickly responded.The Texans went 4 plays, 75-yards with Quarterback C.J.Stroud passing to Nico Collins for a 15-yards touchdown. Second Quarter

More offensive fireworks as the Browns respond right back, with a 6 play 75-yard drive resulting in a Flacco pass over the middle to running back Hunt for a 11-yard touchdown. The scoring not done the Texans big play came when quarterback Stroud pass to the right to0 tight end Brevin Jordan for a 76-yard touchdown. Now the score stands at Texans 17 Browns 14. The Browns’ defense, anchored by defensive end Myles Garrett, made key stops to prevent the Texans from gaining momentum. On the other side, the Texans’ defense, led by linebacker Christain Harris, made critical plays to keep the game within reach forcing punts. Texans quarterback strikes again when Stroud passes to tight end Dalton Schultz for a 37-yard touchdown making it Texans 24 Browns 14.

Third Quarter

As the game progressed, the intensity only increased. The third quarter featured a pivotal moment as the Texans defense made two pick six touchdowns. Browns quarterback Flacco attempted a deep pass to the left side was intercepted by Texans defender Steven Nelson has he returned it for a 82-yard touchdown. the score now Texans 31 Browns 14. The next possesion the Browns quaterback Flacco has another pass intercepted by linebacker Christain Harris for a 36-yard touchdown making it a Texans 38-14 lead. The Texans defense, anchored by linebacker Harris, made key stops to prevent the Browns from gaining momentum, and made critical plays to keep the Browns offense off the field. With 1:27 to go in the third quarter quarterback Flacco was sacked at 50-yard line for -13-yards by linebacker Christian Harris.

In the final quarter, both teams left it all on the field. The Browns and Texans exchanged blows, with each possession carrying immense importance. The battle in the trenches intensified as the defensive lines fought to disrupt the opposing quarterbacks. The Texans lead by Stroud go 6 plays 50-yards finishing with running back Devin Singletary going for a 19-yard touchdown run, making it a 31 point lead making it Texans 45 Browns 14.
