Eminem to Auction More Than 100 Rare Signed Sneakers for Charity

Auction to Include Some Seriously Valuable Jordans

If you have ever looked at a pair of sneakers and thought, “Those are way too expensive,” Eminem is about to give you a reason to reconsider. The rapper is putting more than 100 pairs from his personal sneaker collection up for auction, and these aren’t just shoes sitting in the back of somebody’s closet. Every pair is signed by Eminem, many are extremely rare, and the money raised is going to a cause close to his hometown of Detroit.

The Marshall Mathers Foundation auction, being conducted by Julien’s Auctions, features more than 100 pairs of sneakers from Eminem’s personal collection. The auction is scheduled for August 25, 2026, in Los Angeles, with online bidding already underway. Julien’s says it represents the largest single-sale collection of Eminem material ever offered at public auction.

And for sneaker collectors, this isn’t exactly the sort of sale where you stroll in with $200 and expect to leave with a piece of hip-hop history. Some opening bids are surprisingly low, starting around $25, but the headline sneakers are expected to command serious money.

All Shoes are Signed by Eminem

The collection covers more than two decades of Eminem’s relationship with sneaker culture and includes Nike, Jordan, Carhartt, PUMA and Adidas footwear. Most of the sneakers are size 10, and the lots include their original boxes.

Among the biggest attractions is the Eminem x Nike Air Jordan 3 “Slim Shady PE.” The rare promotional sneakers were worn by Eminem during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in 2022, making them considerably more interesting than merely owning a pair of Jordans with a famous rapper’s signature on them. The pair is estimated to potentially bring as much as $35,000.

Then there are the Eminem x Carhartt x Nike Air Jordan 4 Promo Sneakers, another extremely rare collaboration. That pair is estimated at around $25,000, while its auction opening bid was listed at $4,000.

In other words, somebody is potentially going to spend the price of a respectable used car on sneakers. Humanity has apparently decided this is perfectly reasonable, provided the sneakers have Eminem’s signature on them.

Some Serious Sneaker History

The auction isn’t limited to the headline Jordans. The collection includes an Eminem x Nike Air Jordan 4 “Encore” from 2017, another Eminem x Carhartt Air Jordan 4 collaboration, a stage-worn Nike Air Max 90 “Soundstorm,” Nike Air Max 90 Japan SP “Camo” sneakers, Adidas Superstar sneakers and PUMA footwear.

There are also more conventional retail releases in the sale, including the PUMA Palace Guard, Adidas Superstar 2 and Independence Day Nike Air Max 90. That gives collectors a chance to chase everything from genuinely rare Eminem collaborations to sneakers that simply have an interesting connection to the rapper’s collection.

Julien’s describes the overall offering as something closer to an archive than a normal sneaker collection, with the lots collectively documenting Eminem’s long relationship with Nike, Jordan Brand and other footwear companies.

The Money Raised Goes to Detroit Kids

The biggest reason this auction matters isn’t actually the sneakers.

100% of the proceeds benefit the Marshall Mathers Foundation, Eminem’s charitable organization, which provides resources and opportunities to disadvantaged and at-risk young people in Detroit and surrounding communities. The foundation has been working in the Detroit area for more than two decades.

The connection between Eminem, sneakers and charity goes back years. In 2006, following the death of his close friend and fellow rapper Proof, Eminem was involved with a Nike Air Max charity series. The new auction continues that connection between his sneaker collection and charitable work.

Paul Rosenberg, president of Shady Records and CEO of Goliath Artists, said Eminem has always expressed his personal style through his sneakers and has accumulated a substantial collection over the years. The auction gives fans an opportunity to own pieces of that collection while supporting a cause important to him.

This Could Get Expensive Fast

The interesting part of the auction will be watching where the final prices land.

Opening bids for some of the less rare pairs are only $25, but the major Eminem/Jordan collaborations are playing in an entirely different financial universe. The signed Slim Shady Air Jordan 3 is estimated at up to $35,000, while the Carhartt collaboration could reach approximately $25,000.

And because these aren’t simply celebrity-signed sneakers pulled from a random memorabilia dealer’s inventory, the provenance is particularly attractive to collectors. They are being offered from Eminem’s personal collection, and the auction includes pieces connected directly to his career, performances and collaborations.

For Eminem fans, sneaker collectors and memorabilia hunters, that combination could make August 25 a very interesting day.

The Marshall Mathers Foundation Auction is being conducted by Julien’s Auctions, with bidding currently open ahead of the August 25 sale in Los Angeles. More than 100 signed pairs are available, and every winning bid ultimately contributes to helping young people in Detroit.

So yes, someone is about to spend tens of thousands of dollars on Eminem’s sneakers.

At least this time, the money isn’t just disappearing into another celebrity’s mansion fund. It’s going toward helping kids in the community that Eminem has called home for decades. That’s a pretty solid reason to bid on a pair of shoes.
