A South Florida homeowner says artificial intelligence helped him sell his house in just days, highlighting how rapidly AI tools are beginning to reshape industries far beyond technology. Robert Levine, a married father of three, turned to the AI platform ChatGPT when he decided to sell his home in Cooper City after living there for 15 years. Instead of hiring a real estate agent to guide the process, Levine relied heavily on AI to manage nearly every step involved in preparing and marketing the property. Levine said he wanted to test whether artificial intelligence could handle the entire process of selling a home, not just assist with small tasks along the way. The tool helped him develop a timeline for preparing the house, creating marketing materials, coordinating showings, and determining when to list the property online.

AI Helped Plan the Entire Sale

One of the most useful features, Levine said, was the structure the AI provided. Using prompts and follow up questions, he created a detailed schedule outlining when to begin packing, how to stage the home, and what improvements could increase the property’s value. The AI also suggested specific updates before listing the home. Levine said the program recommended repainting certain rooms where improvements could offer the highest return on investment. He followed those suggestions before putting the property on the market. ChatGPT also helped draft the property listing and create materials for an open house. It guided Levine through the process of getting the home listed on the Multiple Listing Service and suggested the best time to put the property on the market.

Multiple Offers Within Days

The strategy quickly paid off. Within the first 72 hours after listing the home, Levine received five offers from interested buyers. By Sunday morning, just five days after the property went live on the market, he had accepted a signed contract to sell the house. Levine said the artificial intelligence tool even helped generate a draft contract used in the transaction. However, he still had a lawyer review the legal paperwork before finalizing the deal.

Potential Cost Savings

One of the main motivations behind the experiment was reducing the costs typically associated with selling a home. Real estate commissions can often reach several percent of the final sale price and are commonly split between buyer and seller agents. By managing much of the process himself with the help of artificial intelligence, Levine estimated he could save roughly three percent of the final sale price. Still, he acknowledged that artificial intelligence is unlikely to replace real estate professionals entirely. Many sellers may still prefer the experience and negotiation skills of agents, especially in complex transactions.

AI’s Expanding Role in Real Estate

The experience reflects a broader shift as artificial intelligence tools become increasingly integrated into industries such as real estate, marketing, and finance. AI programs can now assist with writing listings, analyzing pricing strategies, recommending home improvements, and managing logistical tasks. Levine said the results exceeded his expectations and believes more people will begin experimenting with artificial intelligence for major life decisions as the technology continues to improve. There was one part of the move the technology could not handle. Packing the boxes still had to be done the traditional way.
