Miami Goes to the Dogs! Golden Retrievers Take Over Runway at The Big Woof Festival 2026

VCA Animal Hospitals to Sponsor Golden Glam Fashion Show at The Big Woof Festival 2026

One of the most joyful and anticipated dog events in South Florida is back with even more sparkle. The Big Woof Festival, taking place January 17–18, 2026, at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove, is set to host thousands of dog lovers, and this year it comes with a glamorous twist. VCA Animal Hospitals has officially signed on as the title sponsor of the festival’s show-stopping Golden Glam Contest—a high-energy runway event celebrating the personality-packed Golden Retrievers of Miami.

The Golden Glam, organized in partnership with the Miami Goldens Meetup Club and supported by the broader South Florida Golden Retriever community, invites Goldens to hit the runway in themed outfits that showcase their unique charm and the breed’s famously lovable spirit. The event has become a fan-favorite, embodying the joy, connection, and community-driven mission of The Big Woof Festival.

We’re thrilled to have VCA Animal Hospitals as the official sponsor of the Golden Glam,” said Laura Pequignot, Managing Partner of The Big Woof Festival. “VCA’s commitment to pet health and wellness aligns perfectly with our vision of celebrating dogs, supporting rescue efforts, and building a stronger pet-loving community. We’re especially thankful to the Miami Goldens Meetup Club and all South Florida Golden Retriever owners for making this special event possible.”

With this partnership, VCA Animal Hospitals brings more than just branding to the event. As one of the most trusted names in veterinary care across the country, VCA will use its presence at the festival to reinforce the importance of responsible pet ownership, veterinary wellness, and rescue awareness.

“VCA is proud to support The Big Woof Festival and celebrate Miami’s vibrant dog-loving community,” said Diana Duncan, Group Vice President of VCA Animal Hospitals. “The Golden Glam Fashion Show is the perfect blend of fun and purpose—bringing people together while shining a spotlight on the importance of keeping our pets healthy and thriving.”

More Than Just Glamour: A Festival With Heart

The Big Woof Festival is Miami’s premier dog-centered event, uniting dog lovers, local rescues, vendors, trainers, and community organizations for a weekend filled with entertainment, education, and celebration. In 2026, the festival once again benefits PAWS4you Rescue, a Miami-based nonprofit focused on saving pets from euthanasia and reducing shelter overcrowding throughout Miami-Dade County.

Beyond the Golden Glam runway show, attendees can expect:

  • Champion Frisbee Dog performances

  • K-9 training exhibitions

  • Rescue adoption zones

  • Doggy contests and giveaways

  • Pet wellness talks

  • Live music, food trucks, and local vendors

With Miami-Dade Animal Services also joining the festivities, the event offers opportunities to adopt, learn, support rescue efforts, and simply celebrate the companionship and joy that dogs bring into our lives.
