A 25 year old man accused of shooting two people in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood has been arrested after police searched rapper Trippie Redd’s home in Southwest Ranches, Florida. Authorities identified the suspect as Braveone Jones. He faces two counts of attempted murder in connection with a September shooting. Jones was found inside the rapper’s home when law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on October 6.
Police Search Home
The search warrant was carried out at approximately 6 p.m. at the Southwest Ranches residence. Davie Police led the operation with assistance from several other law enforcement agencies, including Fort Lauderdale Police, Sunrise Police, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and a SWAT team. Officers located Jones inside the residence and took him into custody. Authorities have not publicly explained why Jones was at the home or what relationship, if any, he has with Trippie Redd.
Two People Were Shot
The charges against Jones stem from a September 15 shooting in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. Police responded to a reported shooting near Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims, ages 18 and 23, were taken to a hospital for treatment. Both victims survived the shooting.
Trippie Redd Not Accused
Trippie Redd was not arrested during the search and has not been accused of involvement in the shooting. Authorities have not identified the rapper as a suspect in the case. The search was conducted as part of the investigation into the shooting and was connected to efforts to locate Jones. Jones remains in custody and faces two counts of attempted murder. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details could be released as the case moves forward.
