Georgia Teen Charged With Murder After DoorDash Driver Found Dismembered at Apartment Complex

SMYRNA, Ga. — An 18 year old Georgia man is facing a malice murder charge after investigators found the dismembered remains of a 26 year old woman who worked as a DoorDash driver, transforming an already disturbing death investigation into a homicide case that authorities say remains active. Kingston Lammar Bradley was initially arrested and charged with concealing the death of another person after police discovered a woman’s torso inside a plastic container at the Park Valley Apartments in Smyrna, northwest of Atlanta. On Friday, Sept. 25, Smyrna police announced that Bradley would also be charged with malice murder after investigators executing a search warrant on a vehicle discovered additional human remains inside garbage bags in the trunk. Police said they believe the victim is Shanteria Mosley, known to friends and family as “KT.”

The new information represents a significant development from the earliest reports on the case, when Bradley had only been charged with concealing a death and was being described as a person of interest in the woman’s killing. The investigation has since advanced, with police announcing the murder charge and locating additional remains believed to belong to Mosley.

Witness Allegedly Saw Bradley Carrying Plastic Container

According to an arrest warrant described by Atlanta area news outlets, a witness reported seeing Bradley carrying a plastic tub through an open area of the Park Valley Apartments at approximately 8:15 p.m. When Bradley realized he had been spotted, authorities allege he dropped the container and ran toward his nearby apartment. Police subsequently examined the container and discovered a dismembered human torso inside.

Investigators then searched Bradley’s apartment, where the warrant alleges they discovered multiple bloodstains and a large saw covered in blood. Authorities also reported a strong smell of bleach and said they found a mop, bucket of water and carpet cleaner inside the residence. Those allegations formed part of the evidence supporting Bradley’s initial felony charge of concealing another person’s death.

Bradley was taken into custody and held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. At that stage of the investigation, police had not publicly charged him with causing the woman’s death and continued searching for additional remains while investigators worked to establish the victim’s identity and determine exactly what happened.

Victim Identified as 26 Year Old Shanteria “KT” Mosley

Mosley’s family identified her as 26 year old Shanteria “KT” Mosley, a mother who worked as a DoorDash driver. Early reports produced conflicting descriptions of whether she had been actively making deliveries when she disappeared. Atlanta News First reported that DoorDash confirmed Mosley drove for the company and was working that night, but company records did not show a delivery to or near the Park Valley Apartments. Authorities have not publicly established what brought Mosley to the complex or fully explained the nature of any relationship between her and Bradley.

According to reporting based on interviews with Mosley’s family, relatives became alarmed after she stopped responding to messages and began searching for her. Her vehicle was eventually located at the apartment complex, helping focus attention on the area where the investigation would ultimately unfold. The distinction surrounding DoorDash is important. Available reporting confirms that Mosley worked as a DoorDash driver, but investigators have not said she was making a delivery to Bradley or that a DoorDash order brought her to his apartment. Any claim that she was killed while delivering food to Bradley would therefore go beyond what authorities have publicly established.

Search of Vehicle Leads to Murder Charge

The investigation took another major turn Friday evening when Smyrna police executed a search warrant on a vehicle and found garbage bags inside its trunk. According to accounts of the police investigation, detectives noticed that one tightly wrapped bag appeared to contain a body part and contacted the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office before opening the bags. Additional human remains were subsequently confirmed.

Police said the remains are believed to belong to Mosley and announced that Bradley, who had already been charged with concealing a death, would also face a malice murder charge. The department emphasized that the investigation remains active and detectives are continuing to pursue leads. Under Georgia law, malice murder applies when a person unlawfully causes the death of another human being with malice aforethought, either express or implied. The filing of the charge represents a major escalation from the original allegation that Bradley concealed a death, although the charge remains an accusation and prosecutors will ultimately have to prove the case in court.

Bradley Had Previous Criminal Case, Court Records Show

Court records reviewed by Atlanta News First indicate Bradley was already facing charges stemming from an unrelated December 2024 incident. Those charges reportedly include two counts of terroristic threats and acts, simple battery, battery and criminal trespass. An arrest warrant in that earlier case accused Bradley of striking his father and a 15-year-old with an Xbox controller, damaging a door and pushing the teenager into a window, causing it to break. That case was reportedly still pending when Bradley was arrested in connection with Mosley’s death.

Those earlier allegations should be treated separately from the current homicide investigation. They do not establish Bradley’s guilt in Mosley’s death, but they are part of the publicly reported court record surrounding the 18 year old now facing the far more serious murder allegation.

Critical Questions Remain Unanswered

Despite the disturbing physical evidence described in the arrest warrant and the subsequent murder charge, several of the most important questions surrounding Mosley’s death remain unanswered. Authorities have not publicly disclosed a motive, explained how Mosley and Bradley knew one another, established why she was at the apartment complex or released a complete account of the events preceding her death.

A final cause and manner of death had also not been publicly detailed in the reports reviewed for this story. Police initially searched the area around the apartment complex with K-9 units for additional remains before the later discovery inside the vehicle. Investigators have said they are continuing interviews and following additional leads as they attempt to reconstruct Mosley’s final hours.

Mosley’s family, meanwhile, is demanding answers and justice for the 26 year old mother. Her aunt, Michelle Weaver, told WSB-TV that the family wants both justice and the truth as investigators work to determine exactly what happened. Bradley’s arrest, the murder charge and the evidence described by investigators remain allegations. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. With investigators continuing to process evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding Mosley’s death, the case remains an active homicide investigation.
