North Miami Beach Man Accused of Exposing Himself to Two Minors Inside Apartment Complex
A 48 year old North Miami Beach man is facing criminal charges after police said he exposed himself to two minors inside an apartment building, an incident investigators say was captured on surveillance video and followed earlier allegations that the suspect had been watching one of the victims from outside her bedroom.
Eric Leon Wilson was arrested after North Miami Beach police responded to the apartment complex Friday night following a report of a man exposing himself in front of children, according to an arrest report obtained by WPLG Local 10 News. (Local 10 News)
The allegations have generated additional concern because a daycare operates on the first floor of the building, according to Local 10’s report. Police are now investigating whether there could be other potential victims.
Children Encounter Man in Apartment Hallway
According to police, the two victims, ages 10 and 17, were taking out the trash inside the apartment building when they encountered Wilson. The minors told investigators that when they turned around, Wilson was allegedly standing in the hallway with his red shorts pulled approximately halfway down and exposing himself to them.
Police were called to the complex, and officers began investigating the children’s account. Wilson was subsequently identified as the suspected man involved in the encounter. The allegations remain accusations, and Wilson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
Police Say Surveillance Video Contradicted Wilson’s Account
When officers questioned Wilson, he reportedly denied having contact with anyone and told investigators he had just returned home from work. But investigators said surveillance footage from inside the apartment building told a different story.

The teenager reportedly described two previous occasions in which she believed Wilson had been watching her.
Those allegations raise questions about whether the incident that resulted in Wilson’s arrest was isolated or part of a broader pattern of behavior. Any additional allegations would still need to be independently investigated and substantiated by law enforcement.
Daycare Inside Building Raises Additional Concerns
Adding to the seriousness of the investigation is the presence of an active daycare on the first floor of the apartment building. The daycare’s proximity means children regularly enter and leave the property, increasing concerns about whether other minors could potentially have encountered Wilson. Police are consequently seeking information from anyone who may have experienced or witnessed similar behavior. Investigators have not publicly established that additional victims exist, and the possibility of other victims should not be treated as fact unless further evidence emerges.
