Shooting in Tamarac Leaves One Dead After Vehicle Crash
TAMARAC, FLA. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) is investigating a deadly shooting in Tamarac that occurred following a vehicular crash early Wednesday morning. The incident has left one person dead and authorities searching for suspects.
Crash and Shooting Details
Deputies were dispatched to the scene of a crash at the intersection of Commercial Boulevard and 64th Street at approximately 2:15 a.m. Reports indicated that shots were fired near the 6300 block of West Commercial Boulevard, intensifying the urgency of the response.
“Caller advising they heard shots and someone shooting with a firearm and they ran into the bushes near the Chase Bank,” said a dispatcher over the Broadcastify Police scanner.
The collision’s impact caused one of the vehicles to crash through a wall, ending up in a nearby backyard. Fortunately, no residents were outside at the time of the crash.
Scene Investigation
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two crashed vehicles and a male victim inside one of the cars who had been fatally shot. The occupants of the second vehicle had fled the scene before deputies arrived.
7Skyforce, a news helicopter, captured aerial footage of the crash aftermath, showing the significant damage to the vehicles and surrounding area. For a time, the eastbound lanes of Commercial Boulevard were closed to allow police to conduct their investigation.
“We’ve got a pretty serious accident right here as you’re heading eastbound where the road is shut down,” reported the 7SkyForce correspondent.
City workers were later seen boarding up the damaged wall of the residence where the crash occurred.

As the investigation continues, BSO deputies are seeking surveillance footage from nearby businesses and homes to identify the shooter and any other individuals involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
