Tucker Carlson Alleges Epstein Worked for Israeli Intelligence

Tucker Carlson Accuses Epstein of Working for Israeli Intelligence, Escalates MAGA Civil War Over Case Cover-Up

In a fiery appearance at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa on Friday, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson ignited fresh controversy within the Republican base, accusing the late Jeffrey Epstein of being a foreign intelligence asset. Specifically, for the Israeli government. The statement marks one of Carlson’s most explosive public declarations to date and deepens the widening rift within the MAGA movement over the federal government’s handling of the Epstein files.

“The real question was not, was Jeffrey Epstein a weirdo?” Carlson told a packed room of young conservatives. “The real question was, ‘Why was he doing this, on whose behalf, and where was the money coming from?’”

Carlson then delivered what many consider a rhetorical bombshell: “I think the real answer is Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of intel services, probably not American. That foreign government is Israel.”

Cracking the GOP Fault Lines

Carlson’s remarks come amid a bitter internal clash among top Trump-aligned officials. According to sources familiar with the Department of Justice’s internal dynamics, FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino are in open conflict with Attorney General Pam Bondi. The two are reportedly demanding Bondi’s resignation over what they describe as a whitewashed and inadequate review of the Epstein files.

Bondi, who released the official Epstein case review last week, declared the matter closed—sparking fury among conservative activists and insiders who expected transparency and accountability, especially regarding Epstein’s connections to elites across politics, finance, and media.

Carlson’s Disillusionment with Trump

While Carlson had previously expressed support for Donald Trump and even admitted voting for him, his tone at Friday’s event was sharply critical. “I voted for Trump because I believed the GOP would be honest,” he said. “I thought they were the antidote to the Democratic Party’s refusal to take criticism seriously. But this? This is the same cover-up nonsense.”

Carlson expressed particular outrage at the taboo around criticizing U.S. allies like Israel. “Criticizing the behavior of a government agency doesn’t make you a hater. It makes you a citizen. You’re allowed to do that because you’re not a slave,” he said, drawing sustained applause.

His pointed language appeared to address attempts by Bondi loyalists to silence dissent within the party by labeling critics as bigots—an approach Carlson compared to liberal censorship tactics. “You are trying to make me shut up because I’m a ‘bigot,’ like the liberals did seven months ago—and that is why we voted them out,” he said. “I will not tolerate it.”

MAGA Movement in Turmoil

Carlson’s comments have further intensified the divide within Trump’s political base. While some MAGA figures continue to defend the administration’s actions—or inaction—regarding Epstein, a growing number of conservative influencers are demanding full transparency, particularly in light of longstanding suspicions surrounding Epstein’s ties to intelligence networks.

The Epstein saga remains a galvanizing issue for grassroots conservatives, who view it as emblematic of systemic elitism and impunity. “It’s the frustration of normal people watching a certain class of people getting away with everything, every single time,” Carlson said. While Trump has attempted to downplay the internal strife—telling aides he “doesn’t like what’s happening” and urging unity—the backlash is intensifying, with Carlson now at the center of a rebellion many in the GOP did not anticipate.

If the thunderous reception Carlson received in Tampa is any indication, the call for answers on Epstein is only growing louder—and threatening to tear apart the movement that once rallied around Donald Trump as its standard-bearer.
