Let’s make it very clear. You can’t trust the mainstream, aka “lamestream” media, anywhere. Whether it is the United States or Iran or Israel. It doesn’t matter. They all lie and all have an agenda. The lies may change. The agendas are clearly different, but one thing is for certain: they are not telling you the truth.
Now, independent media outlets (like us here at SFL.media) aren’t always telling the truth either. But I can tell you with much more certainty that you have a better shot of getting the truth from these sources than the mainstream hacks. And that brings us to this story out of Iran.
In a statement to the world, Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has ordered his nation to ‘weaponize the Strait of Hormuz’ in his first ‘written statement’. But Mojtaba still hasn’t been seen on public TV, as claims are mounting that he has ‘lost a leg’ and is ‘in a coma’ as a result of injuries sustained during air strikes via the US and Israel.

A written statement attributed to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei was read out by a news anchor on state TV. He himself did not appear on national TV. Amid rumors of his incapacitation, serious questions over who is currently in charge of Iran linger over the nation.
The Iranian leader, who took over from his father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following his assassination on February 28, added that while he believes in maintaining a friendship with Iran’s Gulf neighbors, attacks on US bases in the region will continue. He said: ‘We are not an enemy of the countries around us, and we are only targeting the bases of those Americans.’
Despite the release of the statement, Mojtaba is said to be in intensive care at the Sina University Hospital in the city’s historic quarter surrounded by security officials, according to a source in Tehran. A section of the hospital has been sealed off to guard Iran’s Supreme Leader.
Some independent reports claim that Mojtaba Khamenei is critically injured, may have lost his leg, or is in a coma. As of now, there’s no independent confirmation of those severe outcomes, and his condition remains unclear.
Mojtaba Khamenei survived the U.S. and Israeli airstrike that killed his father, Ali Khamenei, on February 28, 2026. The strike destroyed much of their compound and reportedly killed several family members, including Ali’s daughter, son-in-law, and a grandchild. The exact identities of all those killed are still unclear, and Mojtaba himself was injured but is currently recovering.
So we don’t even know if the new leader is truly OK. And honestly, it may not even matter. What is the difference? 100 men are dying to jump into the role. They all will have the same ideas and rhetoric. Destroy the US and Israel. So there doesn’t need to be too much to vet. They all agree on the two main principles.
