If you are reading this article, you probably have some idea who I am. I am a writer for SFL.media. You may know me as Treez, or as MisterJoshW. Before I blessed you with hilarious and poignant articles, I was actually a skripklub DJ and manager in Miami.
I have a pretty fascinating story, and this podcast/video that I did with Hollywood Wade from the Crime and Entertainment channel on YouTube was a blast to do. I had him rolling, laughing the whole time, and I hope that when you watch it, you find it funny as well.
First, to give you an idea of how Patrick and I came together, years ago, I contacted him via Facebook when he owned a print publication called The South Florida Chronicle.
The Chronicle was a heavily marijuana-themed periodical that competed against Broward and Miami New Times, which was owned by Village Voice Media. This means they had a ton of money behind them. I’m talking about millions and millions of dollars. We were just a little fish going up against a Goliath grouper, also known as the Jewfish, but I can’t honestly say that they were Jewish-owned.
The cool part was that Patrick told me he would put all of my articles on our online newspaper, but for print, only the best of the best will go in. That worked for me because I was writing good articles, and I noticed that he was actually printing a lot of the stuff that I was writing.
Patrick and I really hit it off, and I always felt that I was an asset to his company, as well as the friendship that we formulated, that we have to this day. This is why I’m currently writing again for what is now SFL.media. But before all of this occurred, I had a very interesting life in the strip club underworld of Hialeah, Miami, which eventually led to Panama City, Panama, in Latin America.
The gentlemen’s club, aka strip club, that I worked at was called Porky’s, and it was named after the 80’s hit T&A movie that went by the same name. It was owned by a Russian mobster named Ludwig “Tarzan” Fainberg, who happens to be a very famous Russian mobster from Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
